Keep your ears tuned in! The city has retained a Public Relations company that will be conducting a telephone survey in our city in regards to the Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project . We are not exactly sure when this survey will take place but it will probably be within the next few weeks. It is extremely important that all of us respond to this survey and let our voices be heard. This is another way we can let SCE know we do not want these power lines in our back yards.

City Files Protest with CPUC Against Tehachapi RTP
The City of Chino Hills has filed a protest with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) regarding the Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project (RTP) proposed by Southern California Edison (SCE). The protest seeks a more in depth review of potential routes for the transmission lines for the project, including the SCE-selected route through Chino Hills that would cut a five-mile swath through Chino Hills, three miles of which cut directly through residential neighborhoods. Over 1,000 adjacent property owners are within 500 feet of the proposed behemoth towers. SCE’s proposed route follows the path of an existing 150’ SCE easement through residential neighborhoods.
